Hello, I purchased a Song VAIO computer from Best buy in January 2012. I'm not sure if it came with a manufactures warranty or not...I recently dropped the computer and now it has a crack on the side of it near the CD rom. If it did not come with a warranty, without purchasing insurance when i first bought it, can i purchase insurance now to have it fixed or replaced?

You are out of luck, unfortunately. Sony won't cover accidental damage.

As has been said, unfortunately no. While the Black Tie isn't tecnically insurance, if you could purchase it after it's been broken, then it wouldn't be considered insurance would it? It would be called discounted repairs.

Hello renee0420,
Welcome to the forums!
I'm sorry to hear that you're computer was broken. You won't be able to purchase a Geek Squad Black Tie Protection plan outside of the Return and Exchange Policy.
The other users are correct in stating that the manufactures warranty usually doesn't cover accidental damage. If you didn't purchase the Geek Squad Black Tie Protection Plan with Accidental Damage from Handling (ADH) then we can send out the computer out to the service center for a fee to get an estimate on how much it would cost to have it repaired. If you accept the estimate, then the computer will be returned repaired or you can decline the estimate.
