I have been without my camera for over two months. I have had three of these cameras, the first the shutter froze, the second pixels went bad, and this one has buttons that have stopped working. I had geek squad send it in to get repaired, but they sent it back from their cleanrooms with the same problem. (did they even clean the camera?) I was told it would take a week tops to get the camera back, but they didnt mention the two week turn around at the facility and the fact that they were in no hurry to get my camera in the mail.
I took my camera back and had them send it again and they said that I would just have to deal without having a camera unless I wanted to buy a new one and return it within 14 days, but I cant spend a grand to have a decent camera while mine is gone again. This time they said they would overnight the camera for repair (I took it in Jan. 3rd) but they did not get it at the repair center until the 10th. I have called geek squad to see what is going on, and they told me I had to talk to the store I bought it from for more information. All best buy can tell me is that it is still being worked on, but it has been being worked on for close to THREE weeks. I would like to know why it was not expedited as promised, and how much longer it will take to get my camera back
No one that works for geek squad or best buy knows where my camera is, or what they are doing to it. This geek squad protection plan has been nothing but a joke. I would really like to get my camera back, I just hope they check and make sure that it works it before they send it back again.
