I purchased my husband's laptop on 02/25/2007 with the 3 year ADH PSP plan. It had been serviced numerous times and approved for a no lemon/junkout.
We went to the store tonight and were given a store credit for a new notebook...which would be great - if they had the model in stock. They said they don't have the model and won't have it any longer (and couldn't order it from another store, which I asked about), but I can order it on BestBuy.com with the store credit with no issues. They gave me a store credit in the amount of $555.89 ($509.99 for the dv6-2066dx + tax) That's fine, but I went to order the laptop online and it is $599.99. How is there a $90 difference?
I had to pay about $105 out of pocket for this "comparable" notebook - shouldn't the store credit from the store have been $599.99 + tax if that's how much it would cost me to order it? I understand comparable technology and that I don't get the purchase price of the original notebook - which is fine .. but my store credit should be the full amount of the notebook that they say is comparable.
Thank you and have a happy holidays.

Is that model more expensive online? If it is, call 1-888-BESTBUY. They will match a BB store price.

Hi sscia,
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, and you are correct that you should not have to pay any additional money for the laptop that was determined by the store to be most comparable to the one your service plan was replacing.
If I was to guess the store that issued you the store credit didn’t check the price of the replacement laptop on BestBuy.com, and because it was selling for less in the store they assumed it was the same price on our website. As you found out this is not always the case.
I did look into this, and I show that this was already taken care of for you. If you need any assistance in this matter just send me a private message by clicking on the link in your signature.
Thanks for posting,
