Here is my situation: I called Best Buy in late August to intiate a repair on my LG 50 inch plasma, as covered under my protection/replacement plan, because of some fuzziness on one side of the screen. Best Buy set up a local repair center to come pick up the TV, which they did. Apparently one of the parts needed for the repair has arrived and the other part is on backorder, and has been for at least 3 weeks. Needless to say, it has been almost a month and a half and I still do not have my TV back. I have called Best Buy numerous times over the past few weeks, but I keep getting the same response that an "advanced search" has been requested and that the part is trying to be located by Best Buy. Best Buy already denied a replacement request of mine. I paid good money for this protection/replacement plan when I bought the TV in 2008, and the service I have received has been extremely dissapointing to the point where I doubt I will ever purchase anything at Best Buy again. What is most frustrating is that there is no one higher than a Geek Squad supervisor who can help me and listen to my situation and help me resolve it all quicker than the Geek Squad can. Does anyone have any suggestions for me? Who can I speak to about this? Best Buy needs to live up to their promise and replace my TV since they cannot locate the parts to fix it. Respectfully, One EXTREMELY disappointed customer

Hi swf83,
Having no resolution to this after a month and a half is just not acceptable, and I truly do apologize for how long it is taking us to get this TV repaired for you. I’m sure the fact that you purchased a service plan to guard against being without a working TV, and still not having a working TV, is very upsetting.
I do show that you called us on 8/27/2009 to arrange for service on your TV that is covered by a Performance Service Plan (PSP), and the repair was requested to be done by a local service center.
I would like to offer my personal assistance in this matter, and I am sending you a private message to start that conversation. To check your messages you should log into the forum, and then click on the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.
Thanks for posting,
