Re: Canon EOS 50D sent in Multiple times......

Thank you Rrrrrr sorry to hear about your badluck, $500 bucks ouch hope you get it back soon. :smileysad:

Thank you Elizabeth, for your help I sent off a message to Allan and Thanks to Allan for taking the time to help.

I forgot to mention someone by the name of Will left their battery in my Camera when I picked it up it had his name written on it. I could have kept it but that would be the wrong thing to do.

No worries. I still have my other bodies (another D300, D3, D2x) and another lense for that focal range, just not as sharp as the 17-35 is.

Re: Canon EOS 50D sent in Multiple times......

Well I am very happy with the care and attention they provided me on the outcome. I get a phone call early in the morning from a polite employee whose name I cannot mention and they had set aside the 5D MKII model for me.

I wanted it but then later on during the day, I realised that the money I had spent on the additional stuff such as the battery pack/adapters for my Celestron 11" GPS Fastar telescope Plus a few other items I had purchased were not compatible with the 5d MKII and would have to buy all new parts. Plus only having one other lens at the moment besides my kit lens which is a Tamron 90mm SP DI macro lens. It is nice for landscapes and even though it is Full Frame and has less noise but with less FPS.

I

told him thank you very much for the time and effort you went into making sure I had one but would it be possible just to get another 50d even though it has dropped in price from when I purchased it.

I was already starting to get the hang of it and even though it has a few flaws I dislike it is still a great Camera to start out with as a DSLR since I only want to shoot photo's and not video.

He said sorry for the problems I told him how professional and helpful him and Allan have been, plus I gave him the battery that the mystery Will, had left in my Camera he started getting this twitch in his eye and looked really Irked when he had found out about it.

They checked all the contents in the box to make sure I had put everything back in there. I told him by the way that battery is fully charged in there any chance I can swap it out with the new one that is in this new box.

He said: "You know what you can actually just have this one that Will, had left in your camera he did not know why it was in there in the first place he said they usually use the AC adapters almost implying with another employee that was standing there that one of the service center employees had been using my Camera for other things then fixing.

Thanks again everyone for the helpful service and making things right, I am very grateful and happy with how well this situation was taken care of in a professional manner.
