Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I bough an iPod Touch 8GB online on 11/24/11. I'm wondering if I can purchase an extended warranty and where should I purchase it. I know that I can return the iPod right now if I wanted to because of the Holiday Extened Return Policy which states, "Gift purchases made between Nov. 13, 2011, and Dec. 24, 2011, qualify for our Holiday Return and Exchange policy. You can return these items through Jan. 24, 2012." I'm not really sure what they mean by "gift purchase". Please help as soon as possible.

Pretty much everything qualifies as a gift purchase.  If you take the iPod in to the store, they should be able to take care of you.
