Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I  just bought the new dual camera less than a week ago but did not buy the warranty. Today the screen cracked and will not work at all. Is there anything that I can do that won't end up costing me a lot of money? Can it be fixed? Can I sill buy the warranty? I still have the receipt and all of the things that came in the box with the camera in it. The purchase was made 5 days ago. Thanks.
