Re: Bought new laptop

Be aware that laptops will vary the processor speed to save on power consumption/battery life (i.e. when all of thep processing power is not needed).

In the advanced settings of your power management you can dictate the lowest that the processor can go (percentage based), while on power or on battery.

Re: Bought new laptop

1.5ghz is the regular speed... 2.4ghz is the turbo boost speed.

Re: Bought new laptop

Hello,

- brangun, thank you very much for purchasing an HP computer and for your inquiry as some of us are indeed confused by the computer readings which at first appear to be discrepancies.

- rellarillear and deusexmachina, I appreciate very much your responses--very informative!
