Re: Bought a 32 LG TV (02-16-09) and the screen is now Neon green

There just is not much we can do if LG will not take care of your warranty. We cannot perform the work if LG does not pay for it.

Re: Bought a 32 LG TV (02-16-09) and the screen is now Neon green

Hi Nhillard,

I have to start by saying I truly do apologize for any miscommunication that happened between you and our representatives you spoke to over the phone, and I'm sure the prospect of paying for your TV to be repaired that isn't even a year old is upsetting to say the least.

I did look up the purchase of your TV, and I confirmed you purchased this less that a year ago. I also confirmed that this TV has a one year parts and labor warranty. This means the repair of your TV would be covered by your manufacturer's warranty unless the technician that looks at the TV determines that the problem is due to damage, and not a defect in materials or craftsmanship.

It sounds like you have had a hard time getting anything done by calling 1-800-GeekSquad, and I would be more than willing to get this repair appointment scheduled for you. I am sending you a private message to start that conversation, and to check your messages you should log into the forum and then click on the letter icon in the upper righ-hand corner of the page.

Thanks for posting,

Re: Bought a 32 LG TV (02-16-09) and the screen is now Neon green

Well, It has been nearly 3 months since the last post and still no contact from Best Buy or anyone from the customer service department. I realize Three months is a long time to allow to slip by but I had some prior engagements and was not able to deal with this problem ona regular basis. All I can say is that the TV is now constantly green from the moment you turn it on to the moment your turn it off out of frustration. The TV now plays DVD's with a bright green tint surrounding every object and every person onthe screen.

I am looking for a bit of advice here, should I:

1. Un hook the TV and carry it in to Best buy

2. wait a few more months for someone to contact me. (as of 02-16-2010) the tv will beone year old then I think they will really tell me I am out of luck.

3. Do I chalk it up as a loss throw the TV out and go buy another one from a more reliable company.

_Nick

I have photos of the screen if that will help

If you will call 888-237-8289 and provide them with your purchase information they can set up service for you. If you have your rcpt you can also call 800-793-8896 and they will set up service for you. Please note if you do not have your rcpt you should be able to obtain one at your local best buy store.
