BlackTie Warranty

I have a concern... I purchased my Sony Laptop a little over a year. I got the Black Tie warranty with it. Just recently I had left my laptop out and my nephew knocked it over and it closed the laptop with something inside. It cracked my screen. I then took it to Best Buy, and they advised me that I have the BlackTie warranty and this is covered, lot of stress off of me (at least I thought). 2 days go by and I get a voicemail telling me that my warranty does not cover this. GOOD THING I BOUGHT A WARRANTY!!! I do not understand why I would buy a warranty to cover my laptop, if it truly does not cover my laptop. If this is how Best Buy does it's business, I will clearly make note of it and inform my family and friends.

It depends on if the black tie you got included accidental coverage. They have two versions of the plan, one that does and one that doesn't. They should have been able to tell that at the store when they looked up the plan though so I dunno what's going on there.
