Black Tie Plan

I want to buy a new iPod and a 1 Year Black Tie Plan. Can I puchase another 1 year plan next year before this one expires to extend it? I don't want to spend the money on a three year plan right now.

Re: Black Tie Plan

Sometimes plans are renewable and sometimes they're not. Unfortunately there isn't a way to know for certain if you'll be able to extend the one yr plan. Renewal plans also do not have ADH coverage which on iPods is kind of a big deal. I see iPods with cracked screens from being dropped every time I work.

My suggestion would be to save up until you have the funds needed to buy the iPod and get the coverage plan you want but currently cannot afford.

Although I am employed by Geek Squad my opinions do not in any way shape or form represent Best Buy's Official stance on matters. My opinions are solely my own.

Re: Black Tie Plan

Hello gabbardd,

Welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately, AaronE is correct. If you have the one year Black Tie Protection on your iPod, we cannot renew the plan. Actually, we are not able to renew any Black Tie plan without receiving an invitation to do so in the mail. I would like to be able to allow you to extend your plan, but it is out of our hands.

I hope this information helps to answer your question and I hope you have an excellent rest of your week!

Regards,
