My Panasonic plasma (TH-42PZ700U) has failed due to a power surge and now suffers from the 'seven blinks of death' that is apparently common for Panasonic plasmas. I have the 4 yr. PSP plan and have had the TV less than 2 years. I was not provided an informational brochure when I purchased the TV and PSP but I do have the receipt from the purchase. Is the most efficient (time-wise) action to bring the TV in to my local Best Buy where it can be repaired (or possibly replaced immediately)? Or should I call or visit in person to arrange for an in-home repair. I would like to have the problem remedied as quickly as possible.

Hey there and welcome jscott! My best suggestion is call 1-888-Best-Buy and arrange for a service call. Be very detailed on the phone so the tech knows exactly what the issue is.

Hi jscott,
Adamtech is right - calling to arrange service is the best option since all large tvs are repaired in-home. Let us know how it goes!

I called Best Buy customer service on 7-27-09 and scheduled an in-home service call for the first available appt. which is on 7-31-09. I will continue to update the status of the repair process.
