I've bought several products from best buy over the years and got the product replacement warranty with them. Now one of these products, an mp3 player has quit working. I tried to ship it back following the instructions..
Try #1 - I printed the shipping label from the web site, but waited a couple of weeks before trying to ship it. UPS says the shipping label is expired (10 day limit) and that I need a new one.
Try #2 - On two different days I went to the web site and tried to print a new shipping label and on both occaisions, encountered http 500 errors.
Try #3 - Giving up on this, I called the customer support number and had them print and paper mail me the labels. It's been 12 days now and they are supposed to be mailed from Kingston, 120 miles away. That shouldn't take 12 days.
Try #4 - Oct 9th, I called customer support again and had them generate and email me a shipping label. Oct 12, I tried to ship it and now UPS says the shipping label is expired and that it has to be shipped the same day it is printed.
Try #5 - Oct 12th, I called customer support again, and asked for a new shipping label. The did email me one, but its the same one that was emailed on Oct 9th, with the Oct 9th date on it. Pretty sure this isn't going to work either. Also, during this call I spoke with the most obnoxious customer service rep that I have ever encountered with any product. I tried to tell her the web site wasn't working and she kept giving me instructions on how to access it. I had to ask 6 times to speak to a supervisor.
I will never, never, never, never buy a Best Buy product replacement plan again.

Hmmm. Instead of "Best buy product replacement plan is a scam" your thread title should have been "UPS Shipping is a scam."
This is a shipping issue, and has nothing to do with the replacement plan, but I do understand that you must sensationalize the issue and thread title to get traffic to your thread so it's understandable.
I hope you get the unit shipped off soon without many more hassles.
