I have a Best Buy Xbox 360 portection plan that my mom renewed earlier this year. I had a problem with my xbox before and they gave me a new console. Yesterday when I brought my console in the Geek squad rep told me that they longer exchange Xbox Pro consoles and that they would ship it off or repairs. I dont want a repaired console and that is the reason i got a warranty in the first place. Can someone please expalin someting to me???

Hey DevinMr711,
If your mom purchased an additional service plan for your replacement Xbox 360 earlier this year, then you most likely have Geek Squad® Black Tie Protection (GSBTP) coverage for the console. GSBTP differs slightly from the Product Replacement Plans (PRPs) Best Buy® offered in the past in that they require repairs first and foremost and do not provide the option for an immediate in-store exchange. For additional information though I would strongly encourage you to check out the following link:
PRP vs. GSBTP
I hope this helps you out, but please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any other questions. You can send me a private message by clicking on either my signature below or the letter icon in the upper right-hand corner of the page.

I have the Product Replacement Plan for my xbox 360. We bought the 360 in the spring 2008. My xbox broke once before and I brought all the parts I wanted to exchanged for brand new parts and they exhanged them. and its not expired. I knew the 360 was faulty which is why I told my mom to purchase the warranty. My question is why wont they honor it now???

You said she renewed it this year. If that is so, then you now have the GSBTP and not the PRP.
