I've gone back and forth with the 1-800-BEST-BUY and the local store for the past 2-3 months and this is getting ridiculous.
At the end of the 24 month warranty period for my blackberry bold with Best Buy, if I did NOT use the warranty, I would get credited the $240 in warranty back as Best Buy Bucks. Contact the local store and tells me to call 1-800-BEST-BUY #. Call the 1-800-BESt-BUY # and get routed to NUMEROUS people who eventually tell me to go to the local store for my credti/refund. Even been told it should have happened automatically and obviously that was NOT true!!
I just want the money back that I spent on the warranty, per the agreement. After this 3 month adventure, I probably will NOT step foot again in the Best Buy store again.

Or even worst - after being bounced around numerous times on the phone at 1-800 (going from Mobile Sales to Geek Squad to Reward Zone), I get hung up on and have to start the process all over again. Has happened THREE times today alone and basically 1.5-2 hours wasted of my time, even with promises of "staying on the phone while transferring". Why offer even that "PROMISE" when they know they plan to hang up on you OR even the COURTESY of calling the customer back after such item happen if it was an "oops"???

Perhaps he is referring to the bonus Reward Zone points you get when your BTP goes unused. I think the value was like double the cost of your BTP.

That's what I thought.. You get RZ points when you buy it, and you get the same amount again at the end if you don't use it. Never heard anything about a full refund, though.. that sounds illogical.

Hello Thomas! Thanks for posting about the issues you've had attempting to receive a refund for your expired Black Tie Protection plan. I hope I can assist in clarifying the points you have raised.
We only offer refunds on BTP plans when the plan is cancelled while there is still time remaining. In the case of mobile phone BTP plans that are paid monthly, the plan would simply stop renewing and no refund is given.
The feature you describe of receiving a full refund for your unused BTP plan is not something we offer or have ever offered. Instead, BTP plans offer a "Good Maintenance Reward" when a plan has not been used. This feature provides double Reward Zone bonus points on the purchase of the plan.
