Best Buy Won't Honor My EXPENSIVE Warranty (PSP)

We purchased a 42" plasma television from your Best Buy store in Beavercreek, Ohio.  We saved a long time to buy it and after speaking to the salesman we decided to purchase the $200 Service Plan.  He handed us a pamphlet and said this warranty covers ANYTHING that could possibly happen to the tv and it would be repaired in home if possible and be replaced if necessary for free.  We have had the TV for a few months and last week there was a giant "popping" noise and there was a huge crack up the INSIDE of the screen.  The TV no longer works.  We called for the warranty and after a week, they sent a technician who then told us that we were not covered because we didn't have the "black tie premium" program.  After looking online, we discovered that the program wasn't even in effect until after we bought the TV and we were never offered it.  Bottom line is, we were sold a warranty for "ANYTHING THAT COULD POSSIBLY HAPPEN TO THE TELEVISION" (employees words) and now Best Buy is refusing to honor our warranty.  What the heck did we pay for the EXPENSIVE useless warranty for since the company is simply going to make excuses and basically lie to me about what it covers?  I am more than a little upset and have seen countless posts online of people who have had the exact same problem with their televisions and they got the shaft too.  Why doesn't Best Buy honor their warranties?  We have been loyal customers for years and if this is the "service" we're paying for then we will certainly not return and do everything we can to make sure others are warned.

I’m sorry to hear about your recent TV troubles! I know I would certainly be disappointed as well if a crack were to suddenly appear on my TV, especially if there was a startling noise accompanying it. Without knowing more information regarding your purchase, however, I do not know that I would be able to tell you what your options are at this time.

Thanks at least I know my husband and myself are not the only ones that best buy will not honor a PSP on.
