I got an apple TV from Best Buy, Daniel {removed per forum guidelines}, Nashua, NH.
The store payment counter rep convinced me to get a "replacement plan" on my apple TV.
His claim
"You can come back and ask for a replacement anytime for the next 2 years, even if your current one is perfectly functioning, like When a new version is out and best buy would replace my current apple TV with a new generation apple TV".
Is this really true. Are there other forum members who had really received this service ?
I really wanted a feedback on this post. I can return the "replacement plan" within 30 days if there are some "finer prints"/incorrect info.
The rep gave me a brochure and when quizzed informed me that it is not explicitly written, but that's the way it is. I was apprehensive so I figured, I would give it a try and if I do not get any confirmation/clarification from the web, I would return the "replacement plan". To be frank "Its too good to be true".
Solved! Go to Solution.

Thanks for the response. I am going to return the raplacement plan.
Again the Nashua Best Buy store strikes again.
I hope atleast one best buy manager is taking notes, if you really care about the customer. If I were you, I am a reward zone member. Please lookup my info and have a discussion with the POS rep who worked on my order and have a discussion with him on how badly this incident would impact best buy. I processed my order between 3:30 PM and 4:00 PM Saturday (Yesterday).
Going forward amazon for purchases (with prime), Apple store in Nashua for apple.
Best Buy, You just lost a Nikon D7000 sale today.
PS: I sometimes miss the Circuit City right next to the Nashua Best Buy store. It kept both the stores honest.

Hi sreekanthetl,
Reading over your post, if this was the case, then as rwe528 informed you, our Nashua, NH should have done a better job explaining your coverage plan to you. I'm dearly sorry that this has resulted with you wanting to return your purchase and seeking other competitors going forward. This is not what we want and I'll surely share your instance with the store management, so they recognize your voiced words.
Thanks for posting,

Justin,
Thanks for your note and appreciate your following up on this.
Beleive me, my biggest concern is that this was NO miscommunication. I paraphrased the POS best buy employee offer and he reconfirmed !!!!!
Amazing !!!!
