Manufacturer Warranties and Protection Plans

I purchased the NVIDIA GEFORCE 8400GS 512MB DD     1     8990407     $59.99 back in 02/14/10.  BFG's manufacturer warranty was suppose to be for a lifetime.

The card started to shut down and leave a blank color screen so I updated everything through Nvidia"s website. I thought that worked but when I started to use my graphics program it got worst than before. Today it totally shut down (in a little less than a year?) I've had weaker graphic cards last longer than that. So anyway,  I had to take it out and go back to the onboard graphics. Since BFG Tech is no longer honoring this lifetime warranty I guess I'm out of luck huh? Was BestBuy aware of this change? I hope that all of BFG products are off the shelf!

BFG went out of business in May of 2010. They offered the warranty repair/replacement until December 31st, 2010 through PNY.

So yes, Best Buy is aware of this....
