I purchased a laptop in June of 06. I was talked into the 355.00 service plan. the total price was around 1400. Last year i had to take the computer in for service 3 times. the dvd rom stoped
working. Not once did the laptop come back repaired. i finally decided after 6 weeks without mu computer i would just forget the dvd rom. on 1-4-09 i had to once again send in the laptop
due to blue screen of death. i was promised by geek squad i would have no further problems
with it. well after 2 weeks it came back and was DOA in the store..... the service center
spent 910.00 on parts ( the replacement pc was only 699.00 ) and still did not replace the dvd rom...
I have talked to the geek squad mgr and the so called gen mgr of the store. This kid was at best 20 and i find it hard to believe this kid was allowed to run the entire day to day operations at this store..
Non the less this is the 5th time the pc has been sent out for hardware issues and still no lemon dose not apply!! Best buy has conveniently lost the service records from last year forcing me to go throught the service center again... I called the store ever day this week trying to get the real General Mgr on the phone and today the lady that answer the phone laughed at me and hung up the phone... I am told by the store mgr that he Cannot replace the computer with out the ok from the service center. but Best buy customer relations said he can and should. I also find it hard to believe but the service center cannot receive phone calls or e-mail from the stores..
I will never purchase from the best buy stores again and sugest you do not either!!!!!!!

I'm glad you took the time to respond but 3-5 days for a response is an insult... It has been over 2 weeks and I cannot get the same answer out of 2 people from best buy.. I have talked to no less than 20 people on the phone and have received a different answer from all of them. I have Been told the Pc has been repaired, that its on its way to me, that's its on it's way to Hp, that's its in Kansas at the repair center, but the tracking number up to Friday says its still setting in the store where I left it... I am not going to be one of those customers who gets mad and waits of my PC to show up... I am going to call the store and customer NO service every couple of hours until this is resolved. I only hope I do not have to spent the next month doing it... I called the store at least 10 times Saturday. I called the store at least 30 times last week, yet I cannot seem to get the store's General Mgr. To pick up the phone....... I can how ever get the 18y kid to come on and feed me some more BS about how my PC will get fixed!!!!!!!!
So you see I am glad you responded to my post but IM not looking for a response but for a fixed or replaced laptop...........................

I have been informed that Once again my PC has been repaired... ( We'll see) But now they want me to reinstall Windows on it. I'm not sure how a Hardware problem can be fixed with a Software change but whatever!!!
But my PC still dose not qualify for a No lemon Exchange even though the store lost the paper work on the last 3 repairs. And although i have asked at leas 100 times the general mgr Still has not returned my phone call.............
I will post After I have recieved my pc back from Customer NO Service!

Yet again my PC has been shipped back to me DOA!!! This time they replaced the hard drive.. Although they Still have not replaced the DVD ROM which is needed to reinstall windows.. What a joke. they have spent 1500.00+ to repair this computer. Mother board, processor, Hdd. They have no idea what there doing. all that is left is the DVD ROM and the screen.
Let my case be an example not to shop at best buy stores... Never to buy the psp plan's... This is the worst Customer NO service i have ever seen.
I did however get Robert the store General Mgr to talk to me in person... I had him and customer no service on the phone. Customer no service said that he could go ahead and replace the PC, but He said that he could not! Straight up lies form one or the other........ I will never shop in these stores ever again and urge anyone reading this to do the same......
