i dont know what to do. i got a i pod touch for my birthday. about 4 months ago and today it just stop working. i bought a warrenty from best buy just in case. but inside the where u put the head phones it has a red line goin across and i found out thats when water has been in contact with i touch. but it hasnt at all. i have the warrenty i came with plus the one i got at best buy. is it possible to get it fixed or something but it also has a little crack the size of a cut fingernail. and the red line that it has. its been their since i bought it so i dont know what to do. please help!!!!!!

i really dont know what to do and i really need some help. please help me if you have any information. i really do love ma itouch it was a birthday present. ma friend who worked at best buy gave it to me but he no longer works their and i have no clue what to do. is it possible to get a new one

Do you know if you have a service or replacement plan? If it has water or physical damage, it won't be covered.

The liquid damage indicator can be tripped without submersing the iPod Touch in a glass of water or dropping it in the toliet.  It can be tripped if you leave the device in a car on a humid day or even in your pocket while you are running on a warm day.  Moisture is as much an enemy to electronics as direct water is.  I regret to inform you though, once that indicator is tripped you are up a creek.

Actually, no. The GSBTP and G&G does offer protection against humidity.

I’m sorry to hear about the trouble with your iPod Touch.  I know how much I enjoy my iPod and wouldn’t want to be without it!

It’s good that you have a protection plan for the iPod because, as Nokia pointed out, the service plan offers coverage for humidity if that’s what caused the moisture indicator to trip.  There may be another explanation, though, and Best Buy®’s service center technicians will fully diagnose the problem.

My recommendation would be for you to visit the Geek Squad® counter at your local store with your iPod Touch and have the unit sent out for service.  That way, when the repairs are complete, you can get back to enjoying your music and videos!
