Re: What are you playing?

[ Edited ]

I've heard if you can get past the intro for Wolfenstein: The New Order then the game is amazing!  I love that time period.

Congrats on the Platinum Trophy!  There's nothing more rewarding Smiley Happy  I just watched the newest trailer and Dark Souls III couldn't be more spot-on with what I loved about Bloodborne and Dark Souls II.  I have it pre-ordered and ready to go for release day!

Re: What are you playing?

Oh so many games to mention. Still leading my guild in WoW, but I tend to keep myself busy ramping up my youtube deal and my gaming podcast.

Been playing a fair bit of Far Cry Primal, and The Division (on 2 platforms no less), Rainbow 6 Seige, Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2.

I have played Life is Strange since you asked Blake. It is commonly compared to other similar games from the telltale series, but it really takes its own twist.

In Life is Strange you have more freedom to explore option instead of being stuck on a path. Without spoiling anything, the protagonist gains an ability to pretty much allow you to explore the results of a decision, and go back. Often at times this is needed to progress. Definitely a game that's worth a look.

Re: What are you playing?

I've just started playing The Division and I'm impressed so far. Glad they delayed this game and took the time they needed to make a quality product. Too many studios rushing games out that don't feel quite finished, even after the patches.

Also started Ori and the Blind Forest now that the definitive edition has been released. Quite an amazing experience. All XBox One owners need to grab a copy of this game.

Re: What are you playing?

Just got Quantum Break out of the way, an interesting experiment for a game. May not be for everyone, but I enjoyed it. Would actually be interested to see how a game like Quantum Break could be translated into a VR experience with its choose your path style story mechanics. It actually reminded me of old choose your path books.

Aside from that, it's back to the Division with its free content update today, then Battleborn beta on the 13th. An interesting week this shall be.

On the note if the division, a nasty bug tied to the "One is none" talent seems to have snuck through. Headshotting a hostile with the last round in a clip now leads to a gun jam style effect. You get a free round in the clip, gun won't fire, and you can't reload. Switching weapons seems to fix it, but it can definitely cause some issues in a pinch.

Re: What are you playing?

Thanks for the Quantum Break feedback.  I'm very interested in trying that one out.  I hadn't even considered it for a VR experience, but I think you're right that it is the perfect setting for what some might consider a "gimmick" within the storyline.

On a side-note.  I just started playing a game called World of Warcraft.  It's pretty good.  It might have some longevity to it.

Re: What are you playing?

Just started Ray Gigant on the Vita, beautiful art style but getting use to the gameplay some.

I just finished up Enslaved: Odyssey to the West on PS3, so deciding whether to move onto Shadows of Mordor or get into Hearts of Stone DLC on Witcher 3.

Re: What are you playing?

I had not played any of the prior Mafia games.  However in anticipation of the Mafia III release coming this Friday I tried the Mafia II demo and then purchased the game.  Granted the Mafia series appears to be a direct rip off of Grand Theft Auto Mafia II, but it is turning out to be a lot of fun.  I am on chapter 11 of 15 and expect to have around 22 or so hours of game time.

Re: What are you playing?

I'm working my way through Shadows of Mordor on the PS4 and Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky on the PSP.

Once I wrap up SoM I'm onto Dragon Quest Builders.
