As a mom, the well being and health of my family is always on my mind.  I struggle with getting my children off their computers and out in the real world to exercise.  One thing I have found to help was to have them play Wii Sports.  If you have ever played the boxing game, you will know that you can totally work up a sweat.  This leads me to my newest quest.  The quest to find a Wii Fit!  Everytime I walk into a Best Buy® store, or any of the other retailers, I check to see if it is in stock.  It appears the shortage is univeral, because no one seems to have it!  This has almost become an obsession.  However, I am wondering if it is really worth all the searching?  Tell me about your experiences with Wii Fit.  What do you like about it?  What do you dislike?  Do you recommend it?  My daughters are 15, 11 and 9.  Do you think they would enjoy one?

I have one, I love it. Unfortunately, I spent 6 weeks using wiialerts.com to try to find one for a friend of mine. I finally found one on Bestbuy.com, they took my money, never emailed me to tell me that they had cancelled the order for no reason at all and then when I complained, told me that they would refund my money for an order they never even shipped in TWO WEEKS!!

They REFUSED to do anything about the fact that they not only wasted over 90 minutes of my time on the phone but are holding my money and won't give it back to me.

I have been wanting one of these for a while, but have not yet purchased one because I am afraid that I won't use it enough to justify the cost. It is at the top of my Xmas wishlist though!

My best friend has one and says she can really "feel the burn" so to speak after using it regularly.

I find it really interesting that the WiiFit (and the Wii in general) are being used a lot in retirement homes and physical rehabilitation centers for both physical and emotional therapy. I may be working on a research project sometime in the next year looking at using the Wii and WiiFit to help children with high blood pressure, which I am really looking forward to!

I searched quite a lot too, and found that they were rarely in stock on the big box retailer's websites.  I found a bundle with the wii fit and the shawn white snowboard game for $118 - you just have to be a sams member.  That is a great deal, and since you cant ever get one at best buy or circuit city it was a no-brainer for me to buy it.  I almost laughed when I saw this weeks best buy flier and it offered free shipping... yeah, but good luck getting one online!!!!

I too am completely frustrated by the worldwide shortage of Wii Fits.  I'd like to buy the snow boarding game...but refuse to shell out megabucks on the yard sale that at the electronicbay.  Does anyone know if Best Buy will ever get them in stock again b4 Xmas?

I saw one at a local electronics shop just a couple days after launch - and they literally got ripped out of the boxes....

I had a chance to get one, but passed - and other than online.....have not seen any in stock

I walk into bestbuy and I always see the towels, or the bag/holder....but thats about it

i still havent found one...does best buy email you when they get stuff in stock?  I can't figure out how to get them to do that.  The toy store with the giraffe that looks high emailed me earlier today because they had some...but I didn't see the email because I was at work...

See, I was not just whistling Dixie saying that I was looking for one!!!

Your best bet is to check the weekly ads, or first thing on Sunday mornings in my experience.  If it is in the ad, more than likely there are some minimums per store, and you might get lucky. 

I am going to be hanging out at my local store hoping on Sunday!
