Recently there was an error on the price for Starcraft II on our website. We were forced to correct several orders made over this weekend due to a pricing error and unfortunately some earlier orders were cancelled along with them. We do not currently have knowledge of what happened to cause the cancellation of orders made previous to this weekend’s error. If something does come to light, however, I will be sure to be open and honest about that with you.

While Best Buy® regrets what happened, there isn’t a way for us to use a Protoss base to build new order probes for you. We are asking that you replace your preorder, and we do have a special offer for all of the cancelled orders. We appreciate our Best Buy® Gamers and hope to make this up to you.

If your order was cancelled due to this error, you should have received an email from BestBuy.com with details and a $10 digital coupon.

If your order was cancelled, but you did NOT receive that email, please let me know via private message by clicking the link on my signature bar below (or you can email online.communities@bestbuy.com with the subject line: “Josh told me to email you about Starcraft II”) and include your old BestBuy.com order number in the body of the message. I can then have the original email and coupon code re-sent to you. Be sure to check your spam folder to see if it’s there as I know sometimes mass emails aren’t received.

Please note: If you have already contacted Best Buy® via either Twelpforce, Facebook or Twitter that I will respond to you in that mode. Please limit the number of submissions you send us about your order as that will impair our turnaround time for you.

Second thing: I have now responded to everyone that has reached out to me about the Starcraft II cancellation through all the channels we have available. So check your inboxes and if you do not have your digital coupon code at the email address you registered in your BestBuy.com order then let me know. Most likely I will be reaching out to you again on Monday when I am back in the office. We'll try to get your code to you ASAP so you can order before Tuesday's release.
