Since Final Fantasy XIII-2 is having a midnight release, will Soul Calibur V have one as well? They both release on the same day, so I figured they would have a joint midnight release.

Sorry I must've misheard.. I thought there was going to be a midnight release for FF13-2 but it might just be for Gamestop oh well..

There is a thread here that has a Best Buy employee confirming a Final Fantasy XIII-2 release, would be nice if we could get confirmation on Soul Calibur as well. I had an employee at my store say there would probably be, but she wasn't sure.

It seems like the employees around here are not entirely sure either. I'm crossing my fingers in hopes that there is real confirmation on this I really would like to have SCV tonight!

Each store decides if there is or isn't a midnight release for each game. Contact your local store to see if they are offering a midnight release

I'm sorry, we are not hosting midnight openings for Final Fantasy XIII-2 or Soul Calibur V from what I've heard.  As Jimmie mentioned though, it does vary from store-to-store on titles for which we are hosting them so it is always good to check in with them when planning your gaming all-nighter.

That being said I can really only foresee 1, maybe 2, games being midnight released over the next couple months. Mass Effect 3 will most likely and probably a select midnight release of Bioshock Infinite. Unless of course I am forgetting a major one

One of best buys employees lied to my friend stating. That there was going to be a midnight release of soul calibur 5 tonight. She went and the store was closed. What a disappointment and a waste of time. What kind of customer service is that?
