Re: skyrim midnight release help!

I was told by the Cashier that they where doing a Midnight release at the store that I preordered it at. Only to be there about 10:00pm and no one was there, except 2 employees that where getting in their cars and leaving. I guess I was lied to, I waited until midnight just to be sure that it really wasn't going to happen before I drove off (I did laugh when the exterior light turned off just before midnight, kind of a hint). I believe if my count is right that I saw about 15 people pull up as I was waiting so it wasn't going to be a good turn out as it was, plus the game stop down the street was packed with over a hundred people to get the game. I mostly just wish the Cashier when I preordered it didn't tell me and my wife that it was going to be a midnight release at the store. I guess I should have asked more people instead of assuming that the cashier was right. I'm just going to assume that when I preordered it last Friday that he was just confused and was thinking of the midnight release for MW3. so in short, talk to a manager to be sure it actually happens.

Re: skyrim midnight release help!

Same thing happened to me.  Employee in the games section told me they were having a midnight release and the store was listed on bestbuy.com as doing the opening.  Midnight...store was closed.

Re: skyrim midnight release help!

Hello Golddeenoh & Chimaeros,

Thank you for joining the forum.

I’m sorry to hear that the both of you were given the wrong information in the store about the midnight release. I know from experience that representatives can sometimes get confused about the promotions in the store. I agree with Golddeenoh that talking to the manager is the best way to get answers, but it should not have to be that way.

In the future, I would recommend reaching out to us on the forums in advance of the release of a game. We have most of the information available to us and can make sure you get the correct info. Again, I’m sorry about your inconvenience.

Regards,
