So, when will we know if our store will open at midnight for SWTOR?

I would guess you'd know sometime next week by calling your local Best Buy store.

I hope you like this game.... I played the beta and absolutely hated it.  It makes WoW look hard, nothing but EZ mode, auto-win for everyone, no consequenses for dying, blah.  No risk vs reward = massive boredom for me.

Zaxtor, they did have a penalty for dying which was in the form of gear damage(just like WoW), it was  just a lot less then WoW because the beta was more for finding bugs and stress testing their servers.  In the full game you will have full on gear damage when you die(again, just like in WoW)

I had fun in beta, being the darkside being as evil as possible with the quest 1,2,3 options  That was hillarious.

doubtful any store will have a midnight opening for this game. And why would you want one? If you pre-ordered the game you get to play before its release

Because as of 10pm(the time may be wrong) on the 19th the servers are going down and if you don't have your retail key on your account then you can't play till you do.  There was supposed to be a grace period because of when the game was comming out and how hectic shipping gets this time of the year, but the dev who blabbed about it was talking out of his butt.  Now EA and Bioware are considering doing the grace period because of the massive outcry of the games community, but it's still not a 100% go.

Hello all,

From what it sounds like we actually only have two stores hosting special midnight openings for this release: Union Square, NY and Austin, TX.  It's always good to confirm with your local Best Buy though as it does vary from store to store.
