I pre-ordered Porotype 2 at my local Best Buy yesterday it said on the site, "Free Poster and Steelbook Case
when you buy Prototype 2 for Xbox 360 or PS3." Yet when I pre-ordered it they only gave me the poster is the steel case only for online or do I have to buy the game on release day to get it?

I believe the stores should have the SteelBook as well but I'm double-checking on that.  I should have confirmation on that later today so I'll let you know!

I did hear back already and we're actually still in the process of rolling out all of the Prototype 2 promotions so I don't have a solid answer but it sounds like, if the store does carry the SteelBook it will be available when you pick up on release day (4/24/12).

About the Prototype 2 Pre-order bonuses, is the Exclusive Hardened Steel Vehicle Armor Bonus still available to whom ever Pre-order the game or is it a first come first serve type of deal?

Good questions.  I can't really speak to where we're at in terms of how many pre-orders we've sold but it is a "While supplies last" promotion so you'll need to pre-order it to get it and the sooner you do (Or if you're doing in-store pick-up, the sooner you go in to pick up the game), the better your chances.

Hijacking this thead! The game comes out in a week. Any more solid info about the steelbook? Just curious if anymore info about it.

Yes, the stores will have the SteelBook available for those of you that pre-ordered but they will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis, so get in there early next Tuesday for the best chances of getting one!

Oh cool. That's no problem. I'll be there when the doors open. Just wasn't sure. Good to hear cause that's an incentive to pick up my pre-order. I really didn't want to order it online cause I hate online ordering.
