Okay I'm sorry for doing this cause I'm sure EVERYONE is asking about it but the truth is that I'm from a somewhat small town and I've heard that some Best Buy stores are having a midnight release for Mass Effect 3. So here's my question.

Will there be one for this bestbuy location?

Cause I pre-ordered my Mass Effect 3 N7 Collectors Edition and I would love to get it as soon as possible if I can. So will I get it at midnight along with the gamers at Gamestop or will I have to wait till store opening hours till I get to touch that beautiful piece of heaven?

The midnight releases vary from store to store so I called that Florida City store and they unfortunately are not opening at midnight for Mass Effect 3. I'm sorry about that.  I'm super pumped for this game too so I can understand your eagerness to get playing.  If there are other stores you're interested in you could give them a quick call to check if they are hosting one.

I would have gone it somewhere else but Best Buy is easier for me and everywhere else had run out.

Hi. I recently pre-ordered a copy of the Mass Effect 3 collector's edition. After a week or so, I cancelled my pre-order because i thought that i would just run out to a best buy on it's release date to get it since i've had experiences in the past when Best Buy doesn't hold my copy. But then i changed my mind and wanted to preorder a day later when i find out about the free $20 so i try to preorder but they tell me that they stopped taking pre-orders for it even when they still had copies available. So they told me that if i came on the release date and if they had any collector's editions left then they would upgrade me from the standard. However, the thing im afraid of is that they won't have any to sell on the release date after seeing the high demand of this game... I would really appreciate it if you can tell me if the Best Buy store in Oceanside, CA and San Marcos, CA are having a midnight release for the game, and if they will have any collector's editions to sell on the release date. And if so how many copies each store. I've been freaking about the past few days cuz I'm a huge Mass Effect fan! Thank you!

Oh and forgot to mention. I would prefer the xbox 360 version. But if not ps3 will do also

Hey Benasian,

Unfortunately I can't really speak to your questions very well since the answers really lie with your local stores.  Most of our stores are NOT opening at midnight for Mass Effect 3 but I know there are some that are and you'll want to check with those in your area to be sure.  

Also, I know the Collector's Editions were very high in demand, so much so that it even took EA/BioWare off guard, so the chances of there being extra Collector's Editions on the release date is slim.  I don't have specific inventory numbers that I can share but it certainly worth a shot to ask when you go in to pick it up.

Sorry I missed you yesterday.  I didn't have a list of the stores that were doing a midnight release since it varied a lot and stores were making the call themselves.  I hope you were able to find your answer yesterday and plan out your Mass Effect 3 release experience.
