Thank you, guys! I tried Atlantica Online, oddly enough, I can't get it to load. I've tried over two weeks and every time I get a 'Maintaince period' message. One time, I checked, and it was actually IN maintaince! LOL.

Anyhow, I checked router settings and everything was fine - no idea why it can't access the internet.

I think I'm going with FFXI, and transitioning to the new Final Fantasy when funds become available for some minor computer upgrades (that I assume I'll need).

Abbysea is an absurdly fast way to level compared to traditional xp parties, so don't be surprised if you get a number of invites to Tahrongi Canyon, La Theine Plateau or Konschtat Highlands.

:smileytongue:

And I just remembered that I need to build a new PC myself for FFXIV and Star Wars: the Old Republic...

Might want to try the new Star Wars MMO when it comes out, looks like it's garnering a lot of support.
Also, FFXI was fairly well done, it sucked me in for a couple months.

Aside from that, the only MMO that's had staying power with me, is EVEonline, which I already saw you considered.

Eve online was only rejected because I didn't know much staying power an online space game would have for me - yes, it's fun for a few hours. Heck, it's fun for a few weeks. But then what?

FFXI will be ordered and played, mainly because there have been two expansions since I left three years ago - and I'm curious to see (as the other person mentioned) what they have added to this well made, solid game.

Also, with WoW you feel like Blizzard is constantly making changes to appease the players. Other games are really trying to get you to stay.

With FFXI you get the sense that you're invading enemy territory with all the JP's around, and they just barely tolerate you. Which, as I recall, is not too far from the truth.

I kinda like that. So many things comes from, are made in, are part of the 'West'. I take great pride in my country, but sometimes I like to see how other people do things, how THEY treat the same situation.

It's such a solid game that not once did I encouter more then being stuck in a tree (once).
