Lately, the stores in my area (Saint Louis, MO) have been really slow in getting in new console titles.
I went to look for Disgaea 3:Absence of Detention for my PS Vita today (2 days after release), and they haven't gotten any in yet. In fact, it doesn't even show up on the Bestbuy.com website yet. Plus, despite it being a brand new Vita title, the guy looked it up for me, and there is only one store in the area who has any on order, and they won't have it for at least a week!
Same thing happened with Tales of Graces F for the PS3 - they didn't get that in the week it was released either.
Unfortunately, based on my browsing, it seems this is beginning to become a regular occurence.
It seems the only titles my area stores get in on release day are the "A-List" titles. All the others seem to run a week or 2 behind.
Anyone else running into this in their local Best Buy stores?

Haven't noticed that, just check online to see if they got them in stock at your local store, by using the "check local stores" text next to the product.
that way you don't waste a trip down to your local BBY

I can not say that I have noticed it with console releases (PS3, 360, Wii) but in the case of strictly the vita I have. My local Bestbuy has the major titles like Unit 13, MLB 12 The Show, Uncharted, Ridge Racer etc and a few others and thats it there missing quite a few titles that I would be looking to get in the future like Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus, Dynasty Warriors, and for people that want Disgaea I am sure they would not be getting that so I think it might be a PS VITA game scarcity/distribution issue. But in the case of "major console" releases IDK maybe who ever is in charge of that is dropping the ball of ordering them or making sure they are there on time.
