How can I find out if the best buy I preordered at has a midnight release?

Go to Store Locator. Enter your Zip code. Once you have found your store, click on that link and visit their page. If they have a midnight release, typically they will mention it.

Josh, I was hoping for some clarification:

On your list, for Missouri it has "Metro North" listed, as well as "Lees Summit" listed twice.

There is no Best Buy in the Saint Louis Metro North area.  In fact, there is no "metro north" Best Buy listed in missouri at all.  Is this supposed to be the Brentwood Best Buy?  (It's the only Best Buy that could be considered in the "metro" area, but even then, it's "far-east metro")

Argh! This list is OUTDATED!!! Everyone be sure to CALL YOUR PRE-ORDER BEST BUY STORE before assuming it's not having a midnight opening! I was at the ODST midnight opening last year at the Southridge Best Buy in Milwaukee, WI. According to the latest list posted on these forums (accurate as of 8/14), Southridge was not having a midnight opening. However, upon calling the store they confirmed that they were.

Please call your stores, and if possible Mods please post an up-to-date and accurate list to make this as smooth for Best Buy customers as possible! Happy HALO REACH day next week!!!

Hello Brianwh1982,

Our stores may choose to be open at midnight to sell a particular game title. The list posted on BestBuy.com are those that have opted in to be on the list. I'm sorry that the Southridge store is not included on the list but there were several emails going out to make sure stores confirmed so they could be represented.

That being said I agree! If you have any doubts about Midnight Opening stores please feel free to give them a call or check their page by searching the Store Locator on BestBuy.com. They'll have Midnight Opening information on their store events section in most cases.

Drove out to the Potomac Yard VA store only to see it wasn't open. Pretty lame.

I was at that Potomac Yard BB as well. Let me tell you how awesome it is to sit in a parking lot for about 45 min when they were on the list to be open.
