As a sim , in single player its OK. But you CANT play this without a flight stick-period. It has no game guide. And if you want to play online -the servers they have wont let you in unless you invest in 500$ worth of flight sim equipt. They dont tell you the learning curve is steep, hours and hours. Check your MSR before you buy or you waste your $. This is NOT a game for gamers- it is a flight sim and therefore needs EXTRA pedals, throttle TIR ( hud) etc to play online multi. Big bucks

Makes me wish consoles would invest more in simulations that are user friendly with game controllers. Such as the Sims game coming soon for xbox 360. It's tiresome dealing with people on those types of "realistic" simulations, who spend wasted hours feeling like they are accomplishing something important. Why not just go be a pilot? lol. Otherwise advertise these simulators for professionals as a learning tool.

As a private pilot myself you would not beleive the experience you can gain from flight sims even ones such as MS FLight Simulator. I grew up playing flight sims but parents couldnt afford pilots lessons. But those years in flight sims really helped me when I started paying for them on my own and it was a smooth transition. Even my instructor commented that I was flying at levels above what a normal rookie would be flying at .When US military pilots are not in the air training where do you think they are? Yup in flight simulators.
