iPad Coming to Best Buy

Apple’s new iPad will be available at the 673 U.S. Best Buy stores that carry Apple products beginning this Saturday, April 3.

Three Wi-Fi iPad models will be on display for customers to see in the Apple Shop locations at these stores.  Quantities for purchase will be limited, and we’ll have tickets for customers who are interested in purchasing the tablet (much like our Black Friday approach).  Most stores will open at their usual time (10 a.m.), with a few opening an hour earlier, and additional staff will be available to help customers.

Three Wi-Fi models of the iPad are available starting Saturday April 3rd, and they will sell for a suggested retail price of $499 for 16GB, $599 for 32GB, and $699 for 64GB.  All three models will be on display so customers have an opportunity to experience the iPad for themselves, many for the first time.

iPad availability at Best Buy is initially limited to these 673 stores in the U.S.

As the 3G model is not being released at the same time as the WiFi only model we do not have any information about the release of those models.
