Two Sundays ago we launched a slew of new services that benefit the gaming shopper and, can I say, these were much-needed.  These services really cover some common areas of concern that can come up for game hardware purchasers and I think they’ll be put to good use.  We’re adding a whole new level of confidence to video game shopping at Best Buy.

Parents, as holiday season approaches keep these services in mind.  They could be that little “something extra” to a 

present that puts it over the top and into that “best holiday ever” territory.  Imagine your child opening a game console and having it completely ready to go.  No account creation or setup steps to go through.  Parental controls already set.  Smile plastered on their face.

Gamers, ever have a desire to upgrade your game system’s storage but a little precautious of doing the modification yourself?  How about transferring those precious game saves over to a new console?  We got your back now.

• Setup and configuration of one (1) gaming System
• Installation of all gaming system updates
• Setup and configuration of three (3) local user accounts with parental controls

Basic Gaming System Setup

• Setup and configuration of one (1) gaming System and user account
• Installation of all gaming system updates

Handheld Gaming System Shield Install

• Install protective screen shield on Handheld Gaming System

Gaming System Storage Upgrade

• Installation of a new compatible storage device in the gaming system
• Verify functionality of gaming system with transferred data

Gaming System Data Transfer

• Installation of a new compatible storage device in the gaming system (Optional)
• Transfer of existing data from one gaming system to another using approved tools
• Verify functionality of gaming system with transferred data

Gaming System Data Rescue

• A full forensic diagnostic of the drive and integrity of the data
• Recovered data will be returned in the original file/folder structure on separate good media when possible (Level 1 Recoveries, Some Level 2 Recoveries). Some situations will require the data be arranged differently after recovery due to extensive file system corruption or damage.
