My laptops are over 5yrs old and I believe having USB cooling pads makes a huge difference.

 

Sometimes cooling the laptop is not enough.... these USB fans offers convenient additional cooling... not just to the computer, but the operator too!  If you got extra USB ports... might as well fill them with additional fans for cooling on a hot summer day in the office.
