I’ve been called an “Early Adopter” to new technology so I thought I’d share my thoughts on the newest gadgets.
I was lucky enough to get a pair of Apple AirPods and at first I was a little uneasy running without anything attached. Then I found that the longer I ran the more comfortable I was with how they felt in my ears. I began to really enjoy not being constricted with a cord to my phone or around my neck.
The AirPods are lacking in the ability to navigate songs and adjust the volume on the headphones. The only way to navigate your playlist is through Siri and this can be challenging when trying to walk or run. I did find an easy fix with this by syncing with my Apple Watch during runs and adjusting the controls with the touchscreen or digital crown. Now I wear my AirPods all the time. You can use both or just one to keep an ear free or to make a phone call. The sensors inside the AirPod will detect when they’re placed in your ear and will pause the audio when they’ve been removed. It’s really cool because at work there’s always something that makes you take out one of your headphones and I can listen to a Podcast while walking my dog. If the corded Apple headphones fit in your ears then you’ll have no concerns with the AirPods. They’re the same shape and size inside your ear.
Overall if you’re constantly on the move and are looking to cut the cord, then the Apple AirPods are a fantastic way to increase your mobility and free yourself from the constraints of a wired world. If you have Airpods or are interested in getting a pair, let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
