NS-WBRDVD2 No Video Input

Just moved and trying to hook up the DVD player to the Toshiiba TV. Plugged the HDMI out of the DVD to the HDMI-1 input on the TV. Screen showed No VIdeo message. Tried it on HDMI-3 (Had a Fire unit plugged into HDMI-2). Still, nothing. Tried a different cable. The same.

 Any ideas?

Re: NS-WBRDVD2 No Video Input

Good Afternoon JimD1223,

Welcome to the Insignia Community! I appreciate the time you’ve taken out of your day to share your concerns regarding your Insignia DVD player. I’d be happy to see how I can assist you further.

Are the Toshiba’s HDMI ports responding to other components? Doing so will eliminate the TV being the root of the issue. Can you please double check that the power cord, and HDMI cord for your Insignia DVD player are firmly plugged in? I do know you shared that you did try an alternative HDMI cord. Are you seeing any lights on your DVD player? I look forward to your reply!

Respectfully,

Mariah

Re: NS-WBRDVD2 No Video Input

Toshiba seems to be fine. We have an Amazon Fire for streaming and it is working well.

The DVD player is getting power. We get the hello message and can load a disc, but for some reason the TV is not getting the signal from the player. We've tried ifferent discs. No change.

The home screen doesn't load. There's probably a simple reason for this, but so far no luck.

Re: NS-WBRDVD2 No Video Input

Hello JimD1223,

It sounds like your DVD player is switching into Standby mode which can occur if a safety device may have been activated. Have you tried to push the “ON/Standby” button on the front of the player? Can you try to plug the DVD player into HDMI 2 since we know that port is working? Have you tried to connect your DVD player using a different method like a component or composite cable?

Please let me know if those steps do not resolve your issue, and I’d be happy to provide directions on how to reset it back to factory settings.

Kindly,

Mariah
