It’s that time of year again…

If you are like me, you're probably visiting the gym regularly, counting your calories, and wishing you could just have one doughnut for breakfast. Nevertheless, we made our New Year's resolutions and are determined to stick by them as much as we can (for at least a couple of months).  The good news is that we live in an era where technology makes it a lot easier to stick to those resolutions, and Best Buy has a variety of products designed to help you reach your fitness goals.

This year I decided to gift my husband a Fitbit for Christmas, and I am happy to report that out of all his presents he received this year, it's the one he enjoys and uses the most.  The Fitbit Charge allows him to count his steps, how many floors he has climbed, calories burned, how many hours of sleep he gets a day, and it even has Caller ID because it is synced with his phone. He can also challenge his friends to help him stay motivated.  The Fitbit comes in several sizes and colors to fit your lifestyle.

Jawbone is another manufacturer that offers an activity tracker, and works in a similar fashion as a Fitbit. Depending on the model you choose, it tracks your activity, sleep, heart rate and it will even give you tips and advice using the information collected. It's like having your own personal coach! The Jawbone activity tracker comes in various colors and some models are compatible with android and apple devices.

Garmin no longer is just in the business of pointing you in the right direction (get it?); they also now offer a great line of activity trackers, and even a (gasp!) smart scale. Just like the previous two activity trackers mentioned, depending on the model, it measures activity, calories burned, distance traveled, steps, stairs and hours slept. The Garmin - Vivosmart HR Activity Tracker will even allow you to enjoy worry-free workouts because it is water resistant and it works through sweat and water up to 164' deep.

So there you have it folks. The top activity trackers to keep you on track towards achieving your New Year's resolutions (see what I did there?) Make sure you check them all out, and I hope you will find the one that fits your needs the best.  Here's to a healthier 2016!!

Re: It’s that time of year again…

With all of the new fitness trackers coming this year, it's getting even better. We have the new Fitbit Blaze and Fitbit Alta, as well as many more coming later on. I am just so blown away with what these things are capable of anymore. Even some of the newer trackers are able to do blood pressure, which is just astounding.

I am a Best Buy employee and my opinions do not reflect those of Best Buy.

I'm looking forward to get a special blood pressure tracker. Unfortunately I haven't found it yet. It should be connected to my galaxy and should be wearable... Smiley Happy
