You can only returned USED titles to gamestop not sealed(or Gamestops version of new sealed games). For what the OP is asking for he needs to do redbox. Pay the $1-$2 then see if it's worth the $60.
Reviews can assist but there's been far too many times that a game wasn't "liked" but turned out to be good.

The reason is that games, movies, music, etc are actual forms of entertainment. 

Other products like a vaccum, oven, or even tv are appliances.  The tv itself is not entertainment but allows for it.

This may be why BB allows returns of game consoles (even though i think they should not).
