Xbox Microsoft Points (physical card) not properly activated?

I recently purchased a 1600 point Microsoft Points card, using a gift card online. The card was shipped to me soon after, brand new.  However, when I try to activate it, I receive an error code, identical to ones I've Googled which indicate the card was not properly activated at checkout.  I've attempted to activate both on my PC and on the Xbox, but both show me an error.  The error code is801613fb, I believe.  I've tried waiting a few days between applying the code, with similar results.  Is there someone in particular that I should contact, or should I just take it into the nearest Best Buy to share my woes?

Thanks for posting on the forums!

 

I am so sorry to hear that your Xbox code has been giving you errors when you try to enter it in.  I was able to locate the order by using the email address you registered on our forums and I was showing the card as active.  I want to look into this a little further and I am sending you a private message with more information.  To check your messages, you must be logged into the forums and click on the yellow envelope icon in the top right corner.
