I just received my online ordered Xbox 360 Arcade refurbished console. I didn't open it quite yet, as I purchased a 60gb Xbox 360 Pro refurbished console about a month ago. The outside shipping box is the exact same, so I'm fearful that the result will be the same this time.
The reason I returned the Pro console, was because it was refurbished by a third party company, that is neither Microsoft nor Best Buy. If you purchase a refurbished console in any Best Buy store, it is an official Microsoft refurbished console and comes in a Xbox box and has new packaging and everything is clean. The one I received from my last online order was not clean, it had dirt and smudges on it, and it was refurbished by a third party conpamy, which voided any official Microsoft maintenance. Could you confirm, prior to my opening the box, whether or not this console is or is not an official Microsoft refurbished console? Thanks.

Hi SpE3dSt3R,
I was just researching your situation! You must be dying to open your Xbox and play. I was able to pull up your order information and see what you purchased. From what I could find out, our refurbished products are serviced by the manufacturer or a third party. Either way, it should be refurbished professionally. I don't have a way to see where exactly your particular item came from, but rest assured if you in any way unsatisfied with the condition of your item when you open, you can always return it. There should be some warranty information inside the box (when you open it) to tell how you how to get some help in the event something goes wrong in the first 90 days you have the product.
I can speak from experience that I had an old refurbished white Xbox for years. It was pretty solid as a rock and while I expected it to die out on me, it surpassed all my expectations and I had it for a long time. In fact, I recently gave it to my friend after I got a new one and he plays it just fine.
Hope that helps!
