I had pre-ordered Witcher 2 Dark Edition almost three months in advance and was assured there would be a copy available.
I had read information on the Internet indicating there ma be a shortage for Best Buy Online orders so I checked in three days before release and was advised that my copy was in the back and ready for pickup on release day.
When I actually arrive to pick it up, I was advised that my copy was now being held for a fully paid pre-order via the Internet. I was quite upset, needless to say.
The store rep Anthony took my name and number and assured me he would look into it and call me back. I got the call back in about half an hour and was told they have one coming from another store for me and it will be here on Friday or Monday. He even stated he would hold one of the T-Shirts for me.
I really appreciate Anthony going the extra mile to correct this issue; we shall see if I actually receive my copy.
If they do not come through for me, I will not order from Best Buy again. It seems every pre-order I make here gets botched in some way.
I wonder if there will be any compensation for the hassle?

I am sorry to hear that you pre-order wasn’t available for you to get when you went to the store, especially after being told three days prior that it was ready to go. I appreciate you reaching out to us about it.
It’s certainly odd that it was available just before the release date and suddenly wasn’t when you went in. Although I am glad that Anthony was able to step in and help you out, it’s concerning that you were told two different things. I’d like to look into this a little further and I will be sending you private message. I got my copy shipped from another store and picked it up moments ago.
I want to make sure Anthony from Store #227 gets recognition for going the additional mile to assist, locate, have shipped, hold the pre-order T-Shirt, and ensure delivery of this item to me. He is an excellent employee that took the lead in a shortcoming from the company's pre-order process.
