I preorded the CE Edition Online. and will be doing In-Store pickup, but none of my local BB's can tell me if they are doing the midnight release. Is this something they will probably doing, it being a Warcraft expansion, and is it also something they would know closer to the actual release date(Whenevre its announced).
Would like some info, cause i have to redirect my pre-order to a participating Midnight Release location.

I think it's safe to assume no one knows a definitive answer.
I just purchase expansion activations online directly from the MMO operator (Blizzard, NCSoft, etc) these days, so I definately can't help you.

Hi Driizzt,
Until there's a release date for the title we have no way of knowing how many stores can commit to a midnight opening. Thanks for being a part of the Community though! And stay tuned, as soon as I know something about games I make sure to let the Best Buy® Gamers on this forum know! Here's hoping for an announcement at Blizzcon right?!
Game on!

An annoucement at Blizzcon, wouldnt be out of the question, but would push the time frame of release back a bit. Howevre, since i will be attending my FIRST Blizzcon this year, its gonna be a blast.

Blizzard has released already, that they're trying to get Cata out before the New Year. So expect around the Holidays for the release date or within the first couple months of 2k11. This BlizzCON should be completely focused on Cata.

Actually its been stated that Cata is due out sometime in 2010. Its highly epxected to come out sometime (as most of WOW games) before Thanksgiving. I talked to my local BB, and they said they wouldnt know about a Midnight Release until a few weeks before whatever date is announced. They did one for Halo Reach, and Starcraft 2. I expect Cata to easily outsell Starcraft 2.

It's available for pre-order, and according to a couple of gaming websites out there, they are thinking November 2nd, 2010. Don't quote me on that at all, that's just a rampant rumor. I'm hoping it's before Christmas - and to ME, it makes sense that it would be out before the biggest selling time of the year. I no longer play WoW (I quit until Cat comes out) but my brother informs me that Cat patch is being downloaded in the background, and that's a good sign, right?
