Sooo I bought the digital download version of The Sims 3 Pets and started downloading it about 5 hours ago (holy crap it takes forever)...Ive been wiggling my mouse to make sure the computer doesnt go to sleep or anything and it was working fine...at like 75% downloaded the PC App logged me out and naturally I panicked... but when I logged back in it was still downloading the game (it wouldnt give me a % finished though) so I waited until it was finished... when it did it gave me a "Download Error" messege...and I had to start all over....WHY?!?!?! Now I have to wait another 5 hours to download it probably just to get another error messege? Any ideas?

Hi KristenLeeLB,

Hopefully you were able to install your Sims 3 Pets game after that second try at downloading it.  If for some reason you did not, I would recommend closing out of the PC App entirely and re-opening it before attempting the download.  You had mentioned that it logged you out so you just logged back in and tried again but you may need a full clean start at the download.

I'm sorry for the troubles but let me know if you were able to get your game up and running.

and So i downloaded the app again and it wasnt there on my screen.

I was having a similar problem downloading sims 3. It logged me out and then when the download was complete the pc app said there was a download error!! Instead of redownloading I just closed the BB app and restarted it, then when I went to my account the app showed it was downloaded completely and I needed to install it. Of course when I clicked install manually it didn't do anything so I ended up having to search for the download through my computer, extract the files and setup through the exe files. Finally finished installing just now after 6 hours!

The same exact thing happened to me too! I get to 100 percent and it says download failed!!! I have done it 5 times already. I want my money back.

I know it has been a couple days since you reported this error so I'm sorry about that.  Were you able to download/install your Sims 3 Pets game?  If not, what happens when you try to re-download it?

Hello ashlin45 & All,

We actually updated the Sims 3 Pets add-on on our end and those changes should go into effect around 9 PM CST when our servers refresh.  Please try re-downloading the game then and the installation should work just fine.  We are truly sorry for any inconvenience this might have caused.

I ended up contacting someone and I got my money back because they wouldn't fix the problem.. I bought it on amazon instead.. Never using best buy downloads again
