Well Im just going to go  get my money back for my pre order i purchased In july and Still havent recieved an email with my code. So *ell with buying preorders anywhere ... Ill just wait till its out.

If you are still experiencing the "code already in use" issue or still have not received a code feel free to send us the following information via private message to our Gaming-BBY inbox:

 

Message Subject: Game Title

Message Body: Include...

  • Proof of purchase (Customer Service PIN from in-store receipt or BestBuy.com order #)
  • Email address (the one at which you’ve been watching for the code) 

We will then be able to investigate why you may not have received your code or why the one you received did not work and get back to you as quickly as possible.  Please note that any unsolicited private messages sent to Moderators for this issue will be ignored in an effort to assist everyone promptly and in the proper order.

SWTOR Pre Order Code Question?

Yeah Im wondering when I will get my preorder code for this purchase.   I  Bought the pre order  July 29th and I have yet to get an email or a code for this game.

In a similar situation here James. They sent my code, but the one they sent me had already been used. I've called every week and they say the same thing, and keep doing nothing.

It's very regrettable to hear about your disappointment with the way this was handled and I truly apologize for all the hassle this may have caused you. For a while, we have been working on researching this and I've had a chance to take a look at your situation with the email listed in your forum profile. The good news is, everything looks good and with the emerging information we are getting, you should be contacted soon with additional information on your code!

 

I understand your frustration and like many others, you feel left in the dark and like you were short handed. We are diligently working on a resolution for you and those that may be feeling the same pain as you. I appreciate your comments and patronage; they are invaluable.

I am also having trouble with the code. I pre-ordered Star Wars the Old Republic standard edition early in October and still have not gotten an email with the code. I called customer support and they said that they called the producer, who was supposedly going to email me the code, but never did. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I recieved a "new" code yesterday, and that one also was "in use".   i literally tried to use it 8 minutes after i recieved it.

Mariel, thank you for your response. I will hold out hope that this "new information about my code" you speak of is in fact a new, and valid code. This issue has gone on for some time, and I still have yet to receive any updates, other than what you posted here. This is unacceptable.

I would also like to note that I sent a note to the mailbox Kyle specified, included all the information that was requested, and have yet to receive a response there. This, also is unacceptable.

I will hold out hope through the week that you can have this resolved, however, I fear that I will be left with little choice other than canceling my order, and subsequently filing complaints with multiple good business practice angencies.

Frustratingly hopeful.

sjones12196 - It sounds like you already had a case opened with the right department so I would encourage you to hang tight for that email.  They should be getting back to you as soon as they finish their research on your pre-order.

 

Drunkengeko - I would recommend following up with that via private message with the Gaming-BBY inbox and someone will get back to you.
