I bought the Tritton 720s back in late 2009 with the 1 year protection plan and now the left speaker is broken. Is there any way I could get this replaced instead of buying an entire new headset?

This gaming audio system delivers precise audio and impressive voice communication. Featuring Dolby Digital and Dolby headphone technology, the audio system offers high-quality two-channel surround sound. The included Dolby Digital decoder creates an immersive 3D audio environment, and precision-balanced 40mm drivers produce heart-thumping bass and crystal-clear highs. Chat online with teammates and friends using the detachable microphone. The convenient in-line audio controller features independent voice and game volume controls, allowing you to hear other players clearly during crucial gaming moments. The breakaway cable design allows you to connect cables (not included) to your MP3 player or even an iPhone for additional listening enjoyment.

Hello AxGomega,
Welcome to the forum!
I'm sorry to hear about the issues with your headset; this is never a fun experience. To provide a simple answer to your question, this unit is no longer covered if the 1 year plan was purchased in 2009. Best Buy would not be able to replace the unit. I would suggest reaching out to Tritton to see if there is a known defect in the unit or to see if they have any replacement options. You can find their support page here.
I hope this helps!
Regards,
