Do I have to pay the full amount of the game at the time of preorder?

When you pre-order in-store, you generally pay a $5 deposit, which is then applied to the purchase on release day.

If you pre-order online, an "authorization hold" is put on your credit card for the full amount until release day, when the full amount is actually charged.

Don't bother putting anything down at best buy.. they will just eat your money and not give you your game!

^This man speaks truth this was a bad experience and has left me wondering if i'll deal with best buy after such a colossal failure to satisfy all the people who pre-ordered through them.

agreed, so I went to bestbuy yesterday to get my preordered game only to find out they didn't have the Special edition in stock. This was the game I preordered and it was day 1 release mind you. Now I have to wait for 5-10 business day to have them ship it to my house. I should have preordered from gamestop when I had the chance.
