I preordered Diablo III from a location near me, but I was wondering if it was possible to transfer this to another location as their is a problem with the original location I preordered from.

I know for a fact if you call customer support they can tranfer your store pick up to another store.

But being that it is diablo 3 you may be out of luck if they have sold out at the other store.

Just call and see what they tell you. Have your order number ready when you call.

Thanks for posting on the forums about wanting to switch the store you selected for in store pickup.  As zztoluca mentioned, with a lot of products, we are certainly able to switch the store that the pickup is done at, assuming that it is available. 

In the case of Diablo 3, it would depend on whether you were talking about the standard edition or the Collector’s edition.  It might be possible to switch the stores if it’s the standard edition, however if it’s a Collector’s edition, it might not be.  You can certainly speak with your local store to see if they can assist, otherwise please let me know by sending me a private message via the link in my signature and I can certainly look into it.
