Poor Customer Service- Highly Upset

I would like to file a formal complaint. I purchase and preorder games at best buy all the time. Most of my electronic purchases I make at best buy. I'm tempted to start going back to amazon now. I preordered Ghost Recon at my local best buy store and when I go to the store to pick up they game they are sold out. They sold the copy I preordered. The options I was given was to drive 20 miles to another store or wait until they receive another shipment. Unacceptable! Why did I waste my time going into the store to preorder the game and then go into the store to and the game is sold out. I call the 800 number and one rep hung up on me, the second rep offered for me to place another order and have the game shipped to me, the third rep said they'll file a complaint and I have yet to receive any notification of the complaint being filed. At this point I've lost faith in best buy. It's uterrly ridiculous to put money down on a game and someone can just walk right in and pick up a copy, if this is the case.. why should anyone preorder!

This sounds like a really poor experience with your pre-ordering process.  I'd like to say how truly sorry I am for the numerous inconveniences you've had to endure throughout this process.  I know how I'd feel going to the store expecting to get my pre-order and it not being there.  I really am sorry for the hassle.  

 

I was able to see the previous Customer Care Agents previous case and it does appear that they've documented a complaint here at Best Buy Corporate.  We'll handle this matter internally and use your feedback to better our process.  We really do value your feedback and thank you for taking the time to let us know.  

 

Did you end up purchasing the game or ordering it online?

 

Again, I apologize for trouble and I hope that you'll give us another chance to show you a better experience in the near future.

I havent purchased the game yet and frankly at this point in time, I have no desire to purchase any more games from best buy.
