What is Best Buy's response to the inquiries regarding the Sgt. Johnson token? I have contacted local stores without success and would like to know how I can receive my token. It was not in the pre-sale package as some have stated and it was not in the Halo ODST package. Not one employee in the local store even knew what I was talking about. All I received was a $10 gift card and a puzzled look. This is poor customer service. If the issue is not resolved, I plan on returning the game for a credit as the attraction of the pre-sale was the Sgt. Johnson code. Please post a response as to how or if this is going to be resolved.

As other posters may have previously mentioned, customers should have received their Sgt. Johnson codes in their ODST preorder box if they purchased it through their local Best Buy store or in an e-mail if they purchased it through BestBuy.com. In the event that you did not receive your code, however, rest assured that you can contact our Consumer Relations department at 1-888-BEST-BUY (1-888-237-8289) for assistance. You’ll need to have the preorder receipt handy when you call, but one of our associates should be able to help you out.

I called Consumer Relations as Gary-G5 suggested. Someone named Bernie helped me and said he'll be calling me by tomorrow to provide the unlock code...so folks, gather up your receipts and call the number.

they wouldnt give it to me said i had to contact microsoft but the email when i ordered it said i would get it from best buy email the day of release....... its now the 26th.... stupid customer service

Hello, I pre-ordered my copy of Halo 3 ODST on BestBuy.com on the 21st of this month (one day before the release of the game) and I have not received anything in the mail for the Sergeant Johnson code... if there was an email sent out unfortunately my mail was deleted. Please help! is there anyway for them to resend an email?

Update:
I did finally get the unlock code from Best Buy Corporate. Thank you.
The cause of the problem is that the Sgt. Johnson code was in the pre-order boxes, however the actual Best Buy stores took preorders without those preorder boxes.
I'm glad Best Buy corporate fixed the issue, but its clear that the Pre-order process from Best Buy still needs fine tuning.

Dude I Love You.......I went through so much trouble trying to get a code and its been under my nose the whole time.....LOL.....GOod thing i dint throw out my Preorder Box
